Building truely green comes from a holistic vision which approaches the building as a whole rather than a sum of parts. Integrated design brings people together with different capabilities and mindsets to think, create and review concepts in the aim of building greener, smarter, healthier.

We know there is a strong connection between how they are conceived and the health and wellbeing of our environment and communities.

 

Our holistic approach pursues synergies between environmental responsibility, social welfare and financial returns which results in high performance projects with sustainability at heart. To implement this approach, we apply an integrative process which involves early on a multidisciplinary team to collaborate using a whole building rather than a system per system approach. This saves designers and developers’ time and costs as project stakeholders share from the start a holistic understanding of the project. The innovation resulting from these iterative design analysis is greater than architectural creativity and engineering ingenuity combined, as design is reinvented and redefined beyond green building alone.

BIOCLIMATIC

We are experts in bioclimatic design and our designs are meant to harness the energy, capture the light, harvest the rainwater, lead the wind and tame the heat.

We design built-in sustainability by defining not only efficiency strategies, but considering environmental conservation at all steps. Working collaboratively with architects early on in the design, we advise on optimum orientation, climate and functionally adapted space layout, energy efficient massing, effective envelope and facade materials and shadings to maximize comfort while minimizing resource use. We favor bioclimatic design, relying as much as possible on local climate and architectural features to supply buildings in ventilation, heating, cooling, lighting and water supply. By taking advantage of the sun, wind and light, buildings require less energy, water and therefore money to operate.
